Nominations commenced at the October meeting for the 2010 executive positions. Kevin Krein has accepted a nomination for the position of Vice President. Brenda Porter and David Jack have accepted a nomination for the co-Treasurer position. Thank you for letting your names stand. We have no one nominated for the positions of Secretary, Membership, Newsletter Editor or President. If you know of someone who would be interested in serving the club in one of these positions, please nominate them at the next meeting. Likewise, if you would like to do one of these jobs, feel free to ask someone to nominate you, or simply volunteer. We also need a Webmaster to run our website. This is not an elected position, so we are looking for a volunteer to take over the site by December 31^st.

Without people in the executive positions, the club will simply cease to exist. As a society, we are required to have directors, which is what our executive is, by the society rules. It is conceivable that VIMA’s 25^th year could be it’s last if people do not step up to the plate.

Having said all of the above, I just want to remind everyone that being on the executive is actually a lot of fun. The old saying “The more you put into it, the more you get out of it” is very true.

The fun never ends…
