Message from the  President

Cracknell’s Corner

 Where has the summer gone?

As I sit at the computer writing my September editorial, I can’t help but wonder at the all-too-quickly disappearing summer.  It seems like only yesterday we were gearing up for the season, and now it’s almost gone.  Obviously, it’s not too early to start preparing for next year.  2009 will see the 25th year of VIMA, and also the 45th year of the Mustang.  Such an auspicious year calls for something special.  I am calling on club members to tell us what kind of event you feel we should hold to recognize these two milestones.  Please give this some thought and pass your suggestions along to any of the executive.  Thanks!

I have just taken over as the VIMA’s Webmaster.  Please bear with me while I get up to speed with the software, as it’s all new to me.  I want to take this opportunity to thank Carol LeGrand for taking good care of the site since Norm & Joan Dickinson left.  I also want to thank Terresa Lewis for showing me the ins & outs of Frontpage and getting me set up with the website.

Don’t forget to turn out for the Toy Run – Sept 21st.  We’ll meet at Lot #10 (change from last year) off of Gordon Head Road at UVIC at 9:30am and leave at 10:00am.  The run will end at the Beaver Lake Park picnic site.  As always, please bring an unwrapped toy or a cash donation.  All proceeds go to the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Shelves.

The fun never ends…

STEVE
